More Unappetizing Edibles

It's way more fun to make things that don't look nice to eat - people
usually react hilariously, and if it turns out tasting like shit you always have the
excuse that that was what you were going for - complete inedibility.

Luckily this cake didn't taste too bad. Actually it tasted pretty good, although
it felt kind of weird eating it.

Scorpion Cake! (with grey icing and marzipan scorpions)

The scorpions were pretty nummy (even some of the anti-marzipan people enjoyed them). However the next day when I ate the cake for breakfast (don't worry, I made up for the lack of vitamins with a second breakfast a few minutes later) I couldn't eat a scorpion - out of context it was too Fear Factor. Next time we will make a mud cake with worms! (just joking I don't think I could handle that)

A Truly Spooky Story With Real Scares

Hello everyone! Happy "Sunday After Halloween" Day! Well, happy is the wrong word. Why? Because I'm about to share "A Truly Spooky Story With Real Scares" (ATSSWRS for short) to spook you so hard you might never feel non-spooked again. Ready to start? No? Too scared to keep reading? Too bad, because - plot twist - this spooky story started THE MOMENT YOU WERE BORN. That was a lie, it's actually about to start in the next paragraph, but I'm sure that pre-mature spooking was so gripping you are unable to stop reading. That was my plan all along.

Now, on Halloween this year, I was sitting at my kitchen table. It was getting late outside, and it was raining hard. There was also thunder too. I carved a spooky pumpkin the day before, whose face was etched with fear and suffering - the kind of suffering that happens when there is a burning inside of you. Not an emotional passionate burning, but a literal hot hurting burn (maybe a little overboard spooky, but it is important foreshadowing). As I went to insert a candle into its pumpkin skull, I TURNED THE LIGHTER SIDEWAYS. In an instant, my life changed. The flame licked my finger and the pumpkin took its revenge. My thumb was in mild pain for longer than FOUR MINUTES.

Scared? No - you're horrified so hard that you might have even pooped your pants. Was it the pumpkin? A ghost? Or just plain dumb luck? YOU MIGHT NEVER KNOW. But what's the truly horrifying part of this story? IT COULD JUST AS EASILY HAPPEN TO YOU (THUNDER STRIKES). THIS IS A TRUE STORY, and it didn't even happen to a friend of a friend of mine.

Scared? You should be. After all, it is "Sunday After Halloween" day!

Halloween Baking

What some people think of as Halloween treats:

What we prefer:

Murder cupcakes!*
to make murder cupcakes, check out one of the many recipes for "glass shard cupcakes" floating 'round the interwebs. if you end up on the recipe of my spirit guide, Martha Stewart, don't use her rather vague candy glass directions, someone must have altered them in an attempt to undermine her (Martha would never make a mistake). I prefer recipes that combine clear corn syrup, white sugar, and water, and watch out for those who recommend cooking the syrup
to the 'hard ball' stage. those people must surely be on crack, because you need to cook it to the
'hard crack' stage if you want the glass to set up!

*although this recipe calls for candy glass, use real glass shards if you actually plan to commit murder

Law of Obligations

"the lawyer" "might very well" "deny" "arguable" "moral discourse" "but" "warn others" "not to" "have" "cake" "or" "to" "reap the reward of their skill" "by" "deep" "reciprocal" "performance".

Attempt to make contract law more interesting or sexy failed. It was a good way to waste seventeen minutes, though.
